Car parks or subsidised barges
It has been asked in a number of places and is a relevant question, so I'll answer it here for all to see.
The question was around whether the Div 5 Candidates think it is better to improve the car parks at each ferry point, or improve the barges.
So, my personal thoughts are that I would like to see extended running times for both the ferries and also the barges, and to have subsidised barge costs for residents (and property owners) for nominated vehicles, which would result in less cars needing to be parked not only on each Island car park, but also at Redland Bay.

This would have the added bonus for the Redland Bay residents that not
only would they not be inundated by Islanders parking everywhere all the
time, but that the development at Moore's Farm and Weinam Creek would
not need to be anywhere near as car park focussed.
Having said that, as I have made clear everywhere, if I were elected as Div 5 Councillor, it would be my primary focus to ask the residents of the Division what they would like to see happen and present this to Council. I do not intend to be a Councillor who is not readily accessible. I do not intend to be a Councillor who only listens to one side. I also definitely do not intend to be a Councillor who promotes only *my* perspective to Council - that is definitely not the job as I see it.
